MoJoe
I'm getting ready to order a screwless pickguard from Bobby Lee's and I'm not sure if I want the clear blue, clear, or white. Does anyone have pics of white or clear on their Robot, I have seen the clear blue's. Thanks! Joe
CharlieP
They look nice but my concern is that they sit up so high they would interfere with the angle of my picking that I am used to. I instead got the original Gibson LP Pickguard and bracket. The guard mounts closer to the body. I don't like it up high on the pickup ring. If you are comfortable with that setup that is great but I felt more comfortable with it lower.

It was pretty low cost so I'm going to give one a try and see how I like it. I ended up going with the white to match the hardware. I'll post pics when I get it. stevezapp
Hey MoJoe, may I ask what guitar it's going on? I have an Original Blue Robot with the clear blue pickguard on it. It looks awesome, so if you have a blue one, I'd go with that. With regards to CharlieP's comment, I can't tell much difference in the way I play my Robot to my Les Paul R0 VOS, but that's just me. As you probably know, they're very reasonably priced, so if you decide to get a fixed one, you've not made a huge loss. Take a look.
MoJoe
Hi Steve, my Robot is the first run like yours. I went with the white because I like the look of the matching humbucker rings and toggle plate. They're def priced very low so I can always nab a clear blue or clear down the line if I want. CharlieP
In the picture it looks like the guard has an offset to lower the main portion of it. That would set it lower then. I never noticed that from the other times I had seen the pictures.

MoJoe
Just got it and put it on, I love it, really happy with the white: Can't say enough about Bobby Lee's service, was awesome, very affordable & super quick shipping, friendly guy too! http://www.bobbyleesignatureseries.com/

I never noticed that from the other times I had seen the pictures. It's not too high, but it's not as low as a standard pick guard either. I normally use my pinkie finger to rest on the guard, but as I mentioned, I don't feel any difference when strumming/picking.

Alouf
I like the blue one a bit better as the white stand-outs too much. Pretty none the less
