dreamingGibson
Anyone here owns one of these beauties? I need help, please? Ive stumbled on one, 1996, still talking to the seller but it has the missing pickguard.. I'm about to buy it next week and been looking for a few days now and if there's anyone who owns one, do you mind tracing it on a piece of paper and mail to me (melbourne, Australia) or scan it onto a PDF, on a standard size paper, A4, Legal, whatever that can fit it, so I can just print and fine tune fit so I can have it cut here instead of paying almost 70 bucks from a US based maker? Also, can you take a photo of the pickguard mounting bracket? and does it have a tube for the pickguard screw near the neck pickup?

bobouz
There’s someone on Reverb who has some NOS pickguards from the Terada-body built ‘65 Lennon Casino. Specs are shown in photos. If this one could possibly work for you, the price is very reasonable. Look up Epiphone Elitist on Reverb & it’ll pop up.

Ive looked it up sir, I am afraid that it is different. 65 Casinos, Elitists are from Terada yes, but these are original Kalamazoo spec 16th fret joint.. I'm half wishing Terada recycled dimensions for hardwares and pickup placement but a friend from another forum confirmed that it is different from 90's Terada.. I think the closest lead I can ask is, is there anyone who has a Korean Epiphone Casino.. those are also made with 17th fret join.. I think those might be easier to source.. Another thing to confirm is, are Korean Epiphone Sorrentos using the same pickguard as Korean Epiphone Casinos? if thats the case, I am hoping that Sorrento pickguards will fit, but I still need a terada pickguard to at least compare it with.. I've sent PM on people here who posted they have 90s Terada made Casinos, but Ive yet to receive a reply from them..
bobouz
Ah, so yours has 17 frets clear of the body. I did own the Korean Peerless Casino - but sold it after purchasing an Elitist, so can’t help with dimensions. Best of luck in sorting this out. Yes sir, Matsumoku Factory (early 80's to late 80s?) are 16th fret joint, Terada (mid 80's to mid 90s) on the other hand is 17th fret join back in
