How do the nylon saddles sound compared to metal?

I imagine it takes away a tiny little bit of the fuzzy high, and it might preserve the stings better.

I think your guitar looks awesome.  Going for a 70s look is especially cool as it really provides some uniqueness.  And ... yes, definitely black over cream for the pick-guard.  If you do go the pick-guard route, post some more pics.  I know that I would love to see it.

I have been wondering about trying nylon saddles for a while. I've done a little research. This is one thing I found. It seems Bonamassa experimented with them and ended up using 3 nylon and 3 steel on his LP link . 

Very few buying options in uk though. Also very expensive for an experiment.
