From a Vintage Guitar magazine article - This ’66 Epiphone Texan was Pat Simmons’ primary guitar before he joined the Doobies, and until he finally bought his first electric guitar at the band’s urging. He used it to write and record “Black Water,” “Slippery St. Paul,” “Larry the Logger,” “South City Midnight Lady,” “Slack Key Soquel Rag,” and many other songs.
