Grandfather gave me his acoustic. Need info please

Hey all!

My grandfather gave me his Gibson jazz acoustic years ago. I play it every once in a while but was interested
to find out some information about it.  I took a pic of the number I could see from the F hole. What can that tell me?

We cant tell you much just from the serial number, A photo of the whole guitar would provide a lot more information.

Unfortunately, that serial number was duplicated in at least two different eras, and without a photo, we can't tell you which it might fall in to.

That serial number was used in 1964, but also in the mid-1970s.

What does all the lettering and wording on the label say, from top to bottom and everything in between?

If the guitar was built in the 1970s I would expect it to have a square label so  based on the serial number '64 seems a likely candidate.
