Gibson SG Special Bridge

Just got my lovely P90 equipped Epi SG.

I got it for 2 things, an alternative guitar to do slide on and that P90 sound (inspired by Canned Heat, Let's Work Together for example). Having the easy to adjust bridge was a plus for me as I also wanted a guitar to mess with alternate styles, rather than raising and lowering 6 separate thingies on my Strat.

All lovely aside from the bridge is heading northwards, which I'm a little uncomfortable about, as I've raised the action a good turn or more. I put 11s on it too, detuned to open D atm. Looking at the base of the studs, you can see the studs are canted over. Reading around, I gather this is not unusual.

Are there better bridges that will resist the pull more? Is it even a problem? (I'm not overly bothered about intonation as a slide set up, intonation was fine out of the box and the bridge was like that before I raised it). It's such a nice sound that it seems a better bridge with individual intonation might be a good investment for normal playing.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Funnily enough that site gives me the answer and some piece of mind, that the lean is part of the deal with the basic hardware (having spotted their stud upgrade). They are asking a lot of those posts, aren't they?

I think I'll see how it goes. It's taken 20 years to get to a second electric guitar, so no hurry I guess.

If your new Epiphone SG Special has a wraparound bridge similar to this one and and you want adjustable saddles, you will need a BadAss style of bridge. Also remember that Epiphones are metric and not SAE like  Gibson, the bridges are not the same size..

or this Adjustable Wraparound Bridge that is similar to a BadAss.
