Basshole

Jesse said the truss rod broke' date=' and if that's true, then your sorta ****ed on that neck.

But Jesse is wrong like 78% of the time so who knows...

Yeah, if the rods broken your ****ed, but if it is, be thankful your bass is a fender, lol. BTW have you tried adjusting your truss rod?

there are a few places that can straighten necks a combination of heat (steam) and pressure. Theres a good place in LA if I can find the info I'll send it. I had a PRS given to me with a really bad neck where some Nimrod stored it in a bathroom apparently and the humidity killed it the neck was twisted almost a 1/8 turn. I had nothing to lose so just researched it on the net found a company (The CA one I cant remember right now) and sent it off. got it back with a neck that looked and felt like a new guitar, four years later and the neck is still arrow straight with no issues.

Good luck either way

Get two chairs... (well balanced chairs) then place them so that the headstock can rest in one of them and the body in the other (the neck joint should be restinig on that chair too).

See how there's nothing between the neck and the floor? Step on it.

Just kidding... don't ever do that.
