sparquelito Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I'm going to meet a local fellow tomorrow, and if all goes well, I'll be bringing home my first Fender Precision Bass. Made in Mexico, 2003. Been waiting for this for a very long time.😐 3 Quote

mihcmac Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Careful I think that would match some of RCT's new guitars 1 Quote
uncle fester Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Time to rock out some Primus my friend. Go slap crazy on that beast! Quote
merciful-evans Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I'd go for that too. It looks just right. I haven't played bass in a while. I need to rephrase that. I haven't fumbled a bass in a while. I thought I could handle bass well enough for my home recordings, but honestly? I'm no bassist. Quote
sparquelito Posted September 13, 2020 Author Posted September 13, 2020 Okay, everything worked out great. The seller was a real nice guy, and his old P-bass was in nearly perfect condition. She just needed some new strings, a fret polishing, and a spritz of wax. Such a great-playing bass guitar! I really like it a lot. The neck is fabulous. Wider and flatter than my other bass guitar (a slightly older ESP LTD B-50 bass). After a life time of wanting one, I finally have a Fender Precision Bass. And she has Seymour Duncan BassLines pickups in her, which is what they call (nowadays) the Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Pound P-Bass Pickup. Nice sounding.🙂 Quote
merciful-evans Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Sweet! Looks like its in great shape. Quote
uncle fester Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Will you be playing bass live, or is this for recording or other purposes - really is sweet Quote
kidblast Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 If I played bass routinely, I don't.... but.. that is pretty much what I'd be lugging around with me.. nice.. Quote

And yes, it really is a fabulous bass guitar, for being 17 years old. I have been plugging it in every chance I get. 😐 Quote
