Hello everyone I just bought my first guitar a Les Paul Studio from long an mquad .. super excited to start my journey .. I was curious peoples thoughts as the sales man said I get a free set up but it would take 3-5 days .. he must of saw the look on my face and told me take home play with it really does not me much because it is a “Gibson” and come back in spring a use the free set up service.. got it home sounded like and my friends said it was brutally out of tune. I went to tune it and broke the G string.

the store was good gave me free strings any tips to install or tune the g string ? Should I just bite the bullet and take it in to setup ... I have my first lesson on Saturday.

congrats on your new Gibson, perhaps the person giving lessons could advise you on the set-up  and string changes....if you cant get help with the g before then perhaps you-tube could help you.

You're going to have to get used to changing strings anyway, so may as well start with that G.
