Steveop Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 (edited) I know neck sizes, the slim taper or 50's neck vary a little with each guitar. Is there any difference between a Gibson neck being listed as rounded vs 50's classic? The non slim taper necks are listed inconsistently on some sites, and I could use some expert advice. Is it all just different verbiage for the same thing? Is Rounded, C Shaped Rounded, 50's classic all the same thing, or do they vary to a certain degree from each other? Should I expect the largest neck to be the 50's classic, and just a rounded neck to be a little slimmer. Thank You so much! Edited September 22, 2020 by Steveop Bdbd Quote
merciful-evans Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 hang about long enough and someone will post a proper Gibson version of something like this. This is the best I could find right now with gibson neck profiles in a search engine. Quote
Steveop Posted September 22, 2020 Author Posted September 22, 2020 Thank You! Bought my first LP (Ebony Studio) a couple months ago, and was blown away. Already tempted to buy another, but I'm stuck on whether a "rounded" neck is any different than a 50's neck. Quote
Deaf Fingers Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 What are the dimensions of a "vintage 50's" neck? There are too many terms floating around. Quote
