ghost_of_fl 290 Report post Posted October 27, 2020 Wow, that speaker cabinet in front - one handle at the top?? Who made that monster?

That was old tech even in 71, a Bogen PA cabinet with six 8" speakers. A mixture old and new equipment was the norm for us, as I remember the Bogen cabs didn't hold up for long. ghost_of_fl 290 Report post Posted October 27, 2020 That would be a great studio piece if you replaced the speakers and converted it to a guitar speaker cab. Could probably get a nice stereo effect going since it's wide instead of tall.

We did have 2 of them plus a few amps and cabinets made at our local Gretsch factory. 2

Its fun to remember those days, my earlier shots from the 60's didn't seem to survive anywhere, but that was a different time.
mihcmac 777 Report post Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) I was talking to the guy playing the Jaguar, in the photo above, yesterday and he told me he bought that Jag and a Bandmaster head with a 2X12 cab for $150. I first became aware of the J-200 when I discovered Michael Chapman in my teens. His guitar had that big open booming sound that my cheap Yamaha guitar just wouldn't do.
