Hello Fellow Guitarists!

I am currently under going a fun project, I am trying to prep my Gibson SG to have it custom painted by a friend of mine but I am having one hell of a time stripping the paint off of the SG. are there other ways that people know about that i can use to expedite the process? Thank you in Advance!

A heat gun and scraper. HOWEVER... I haven't tried this with a quality guitar. Only on a cheap & nasty one recovered from the recycling centre. That guitar allowed me to separate the neck. Also, the finish was poly, not nitro.

The horns on a SG might prove extra tricky also.
