I’m here as I’m trying to order a Gibson acoustic custom shop Song Writer Chroma Black Cherry and was looking for info as it seems most custom shop stuff is out of stock and also did not get a definitive answer from my local music store, but we went ahead and initiated the order process as it is listed as an active product on their website also.... though out of stock ..... we initiated the order process anyway. Initially they seemed to be reluctant stating no known ETA for ordering and that it could take an extensive time.... I ordered a guitar June 12 and was told it would be here in 7 to 10 days. They kept putting it further behind till October 4th, then told me it probably wouldn't arrive till after 2021. Chroma Posted March 7, 2021 Author Share Posted March 7, 2021 Thanks for the welcome! Yes I’m very patient awaiting my Chroma Black Cherry.... it has now been discontinued. However my order was placed in November last year and had confirmation from both Gibson USA rep and Gibson Canada Rep along with management from Canada’s largest music store that it would be made. Now we have an ETA around the end of this month likely showing up here in my city mid April! When the order was placed I knew it would take some time and covid has certainly impacted that. There were backed up with about 4000 PO’s of all types of guitars when the order was placed. But worth the wait. Will be the only one in Canada at least from the music store I purchased it from ad there are zero others in their network across the country. So will be rare up here indeed.
