Dangilligan
Here’s a shot of what’s left of the sound hole label. Edited November 7, 2020 by Dangilligan
sparquelito
Dangilligan, Your sound hole photo is not viewable, not on my browser anyway. Going strictly by the Serial Number stamped into the back of the headstock, she was made in 1960 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Guitar Dater Project's admittedly-clumsy serial number decoder offers the proviso that this is accurate if it's a solid body electric guitar, so we have to take that with a grain of salt. Can you post more photos? Both of the sound hole sticker remnant, but also of the guitar overall, the headstock front, Thanks! 🙂
rct
The 2 below the serial number indicates a giutar returned for some sort of repair that had to be done to it in order to make it sellable. It becomes, in effect, a re-sale, hence the 2 stamped on it. Could have been anything you can think of that could be "wrong" with a guitar, from a major failure to a flaw so small nobody could see it. rct
