Elizabeth 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2020 @Sgt. Pepper @jedzep I don’t have anything else at the moment as it is not with me. If you check my other post though there is one other photo- equally as bad quality but it has the full guitar shown.
BigKahune 449 Report post Posted November 22, 2020 Here’s your other post with additional pic - It doesn’t appear to be a genuine Gibson.
Red 333 136 Report post Posted November 22, 2020 It looks fake, but more photos would let us reach a more definitive conclusion.
slimt 111 Report post Posted November 22, 2020 Not a Gibson
zombywoof 250 Report post Posted November 22, 2020 (edited) I will add to the chorus. You do not even need to see the photo of the whole guitar. The logo sure ain't anything I have seen on a Kalamazoo or Bozeman-made Gibson. Edited November 22, 2020 by zombywoof
Dave F 235 Report post Posted November 22, 2020 Very poor fake.

dhanners623 79 Report post Posted November 23, 2020 I'm not sure it even rises to the level of "fake." More like, "bad joke." 1
E-minor7 221 Report post Posted November 23, 2020 I too have to say it's real fake. But could be a good guitar still. Send more pic when possible. 85 % of us are curious - and we can all learn from it
ksdaddy 546 Report post Posted November 27, 2020 I owned 3 of these "Gibsons" in the 90s. The ones I had were not much more than GSO's (guitar shaped objects). They were solid wood, amazingly. I could tell because every piece was cracked.... top sides, and back, and the wood was warped so bad you'd never pull the pieces back into alignment. Not one of them actually functioned as an instrument. And I'm being kind, especially in the wake of me saying there's nothing to gain by insulting someone's instrument in another thread. If they had any redeeming qualities, I would surely point them out. There were none. One was a crude copy of a Gretsch Rancher (yes, with the triangle sound hole). Sunburst, wood binding. Yet it had a Gibson logo. I sold it on consignment at an antique shop for $25. Bet they walked on air until they found out the truth. The other two looked like 70s J45s from 50 feet away. I literally tossed both of them into a dumpster at our landfill. I wonder if they got fished out...
