Really glad for you 😍🤩 Well I had found this one in my searches, as said, it literally seems to be the last one for sale in this country.. It was on Reverb but not easy to find.. A place called Oasis Music in a village called Ringwood just outside Bournemouth.. Really interesting little shop with a guy who has been in there doing it for 30 years.,.. Loads of oddments and bits and bobs... Id say go and check his web site but theres not as much on it as is in the shop.. I found it last week after loosing out on the 356 but decided to keep it to myself until it was sorted.. You never know whos watching out there 😄 Before I left yesterday I called the guy and asked him to take it off Reverb just in case someone were to buy it while I was driving down, and he did... Exactly what you were looking for with the slim taper neck and Classic '57s. I believe with these custom shop guitars the first number is the year. The 356 I have was built in 2017 and the number starts CS 7XXXXX. I can't quite see from the photo if yours starts with a 5 or a 6 so it could be a 2005/6 or a 2015/16? If you email Gibson I'm sure they can tell you exactly when it was built. And yes it should be kept in the case when you are not playing (as should your LPs as well)!!! And with my other LPs, I leave them out as I do enjoy looking at them (almost as much as playing them) and I love being able to grab one at random.. The thing is I do smoke and in this case I dont want the inside of the guitar to get all smoke filled and nasty.. My LPs I can clean.. Wont be able to clean the inside of this and I want to keep it all in good condition. Not that I ever intend to sell it. Im not a serial guitar buyer. The guitars I do buy I keep.... There was only one time when I went a bit mad with my GAS and ended up with 9 Gibsons but since then the ones I kept I dont ever want to sell.. I want to get a huge coffin and have them all buried with me when I go 😄 The serial is 000293.. So does that make it a 2010? I'm no expert though so check with Gibson. It would be nice to know it's history. My back was very brown. Also back in 2002 or so when I got mine the case had a combination lock. Does our case say "Nashville Custom Art and Historic" on the top? Its always been my LP Classic.. The darkburst LP you can see in the pics... Its also got an incredible neck and I love the sound of it.. When ever I do recording and want my best, thats the one I always go for. I have a feeling the 336 is about to take top spot though 🙂 Dont have any of my guitar tools here at the moment. Am going to pick them up tomorrow. I may try and get some of that virtuoso polish and see if I can get some of that swirling out.
