AntonioS
I'm in the process of acquiring a 2016 ES-175 Figured Reissue, but I'm wondering if the price isn't a bit too high. The guitar looks in impeccable conditions. Its s/n is 10146701 which seems following the s/n logic and dates (26/01/16). But looking at the demos online it seems less valuable than a VOS (at least sound wise). Any expert opinion?
jdgm
Very difficult to say. From googling pics it looks like a very nice issue. http://legacy.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2016/Memphis/ES-175-Figured.aspx And Music Zoo have a 2017 one right now - https://www.themusiczoo.com/products/gibson-es-175-figured-natural-2017?ct=t(shop-vintage-and-used-gear-1-6-21)&goal=0_63363c100e-46280b15d3-263687321&mc_cid=46280b15d3&mc_eid=779a2e7ab7 How do you mean less valuable 'sound-wise'? Are the pickups not similar? I have a 175. Very generally - I think with most of them you can hope it will keep its price and perhaps appreciate a bit. Of course there are some versions that are more sought-after. And - they haven't made them recently either. The ES275 seems to have taken its place for the moment.
