CBenson89 Posted January 5, 2021 Share Posted January 5, 2021 I’ve been torn between getting a fender American pro telecaster or the 61 sg standard. I have a 2019 60s edition LP standard and a 2009 sg standard but dang I find that 61SG so tempting. ddsax422 Posted January 5, 2021 Share Posted January 5, 2021 I would get the telecaster. I find the 61 standard tempting to buy too, and I already have an SG Standard from 2019. Sgt. Pepper Posted January 5, 2021 Share Posted January 5, 2021 (edited) An SG and a Tele are two very different animals and yes you should get the SG. While you at it get the Tele too. I think I have owned 4 of each guitar. SG's are light and have great fret access, and a Tele is a Tele, it has everything you need and nothing you don't. Edited January 5, 2021 by Sgt.
