ddsax422 6
Hey guys, What are your favorite colors on a Gibson guitar? Mine, for example, is gold top, but I'm also a fan of heritage cherry, iced tea burst and royal tea burst.
BobDog 1
My favourite is Cardinal Red. But I also like Sparkling Burgundy that is Gibson’s own name for a GM color.

No, I think If I was given that guitar for free I would sell it for $5. And its neon green get it right.

'Scales 541
Not a huge fan of Gibson colours, but I like TV yellow, Polaris white and Silver Fox. Most Gibson guitars look good in black too I reckon.

ghost_of_fl 345
Most guitars I like in a few different colors. There is one exception ...

mihcmac 831
I have always had a thing for TV Yellow, going back a ways, but just one at a time.. It has something to do with the first time I heard a LP TV DC.... My SG-X, below, was a deviation, but it was such a screamer. I have more with a natural finish than anything else. I just like the wood showing through. Then I have translucence covered with Green, Blue and Cherry. Edited January 27 by mihcmac
01GT eibach 228
In general, I really like almost all bursts ... EXCEPT for green and blue bursts. My brother just bought a Gibson "Green Ocean Burst" Les Paul Classic (a Sweetwater exclusive). I dunno, maybe it will grow on me when I see it in person ... Don't tell my brother what I said ... Notes_Norton 589
I'm not fond of that particular green 01GT, but to each his/her own. I avoid greens on stage because when lights reflect off of it onto your skin, it makes you look sick. It's a subliminal thing for the audience's perception, not a personal preference. Reds and pinks are better reflected on your skin. Insights and incites by Notes
ghost_of_fl 345
So, because the forum displays poorly on my android phone, I can't start a new topic. But this isn't exactly a hijack. Question: In the movie "Crossroads" (with Ralph Macchio) he has this Tele: I originally thought it was "Butterscotch Blonde" but now I'm thinking that might be "Vintage White". What do you think? There isn't much info out there about the guitars used for the film. Butterscotch Blonde: Vintage White: It looks somewhere in between to me.
rct 1,715
The bottom picture looks like my Vintage White Tele when it was new in 97. The middle picture looks like my Vintage White Tele today. He might be using a White Blonde, which I think mid 80's was in the color range. rct
