lithdoc
I was curious what stand you guys use/recommend for a Flying V. I have one on order and am shopping for a stand. I have heard that the Hercules stand grip touches the nut of the guitar and the angle at which it is forced to be at may warp the neck... Not sure if it is true or just a myth. What do you guys use? IanHenry
I have no experience with a Flying V but I'd strongly recommend Hercules stand's, I have a couple like those: Hercules Stands - GS412B PLUS which I'd have thought would be suitable for a Flying V. Sgt. Pepper
Wall hanger for home. On stage if you need it, one of the standard ones will work. You just have to set it in the stand safely. Edited February 3, 2021 by Sgt. Pepper
kidblast
I have a few Hercules stands, I can't quite follow what the issue is that you mention re: warping the neck. The guitar just hangs from the yoke, like it would if it was a wall hanger, the legs, once extended is where the body would rest so it should not really matter with the body shape at all. Hercules stands are nitro safe too, so that's another + for using them with a Gibson.
