Ed M
I was wondering why Gibson would use black pickup mounting ring screws on a pickguard that is supposed to have a VOS finish instead of the nickle like all the other screws in the guitar. This is a 63 reissue Firebird V from 2020. Edited March 9, 2021 by Ed M
Twang Gang
I don't know what color screws a '63 had in it's pickguard - but to me it looks like the guard has black trim and thus the screws match that. Nickel screws on the black and white guard would look sort of weird so it's just an aesthetic choice, but I think they look better than nickel ones would. Sgt. Pepper
All the FB's on the website show they are the silver colored ones. Maybe the Pickguard Attatcher Guy/Girl had a 3 joint lunch and grabbed the wrong screws.
