DJJazzyJeff
I'm thinking of purchasing a1991 Gibson USA ES-175. Any experiences with ES-175's from this era? - Thanks! Edited March 15, 2021 by DJJazzyJeff
jdgm
The early 90s were VERY good years for the revitalized Gibson company. I have not played a 90s ES-175 but I played a couple of ES-335s from the early 90s at that time and they were easily up to the quality and standard of the legendary early ones. Best wishes
Twang Gang
I had one I bought new in the early 90s, I can't recall if it was '91 or '92 and the guitar could have been hanging on the wall for quite some time as well. But it was an excellent guitar, no defects or problems at all with it. Now the one you are considering is 30 years old, so it could have developed any number of problems so careful inspection will be needed and of course play it if you can before purchasing. But as to that era they were making excellent guitars.
