maiorana6 Posted March 22, 2021 Share Posted March 22, 2021 Hi there, I'm awaiting a 1998 Explorer (DSXR nagh 1) being shipped from Canada. Customs is asking where the Rosewood is from. I spoke with a Rep from Gibson earlier and he couldn't answer other than to say "probably India or Madagascar." Does anyone know how I could find out for sure? j45nick Posted March 30, 2021 Share Posted March 30, 2021 No, but the answer is almost certainly India. Madagascar rosewood is only used on very high-end guitars, and very few of those.
