I reached out to a Gibson rep on the day the teaser video was released and the Rep told me to reach out to a dealer which I did, I usually buy my guitars through Guitar Center but twice I called since March to be told they could not order since it was not in their system. I finally spoke with a rep from Guitar Center in late May who went out of his way to track down the item number and placed a preorder for the Guitar, I don’t think this guarantees me a guitar but I’ve placed the preorder with payment and have the confirmation of my preorder and now I’m just crossing my fingers I actually get one, time will tell. They were released worldwide. I posted an article last year about NG dropping a hint about the model with Guitar Magazine … so I was waiting since then to hear details .They released a teaser video a few months back and said it would be available in June . My approach changed as soon as someone told me it was limited. I didn't know that until hours before I jumped on one of two new ones left in the country. The irony is, the place I got it from had a video out on mine for almost a year that I watched several times. They clearly stated that it was a limited edition. There might be a few who were ordered by dealers and aren’t sold to a person but as I understand it most (if not all) of them were preordered by people . I hope you get lucky ! I talked to a friend who is a Gibson rep here in TX. He said its limited to 200 total. 100 will be sold in the USA and 100 everywhere else in the world. UK only getting about a dozen!! There are just two stores getting one in Texas, the other being Tone Guitars in Dallas but I called them and someone already paid for it back in April. I’m lucky to have gotten one! Just called them yesterday and was extremly Lucky. Thomann had three aswell, but they are sold already. WHAT A BEAUTY!!! And the sound: WOW!
