The shortest guitar bucket list of your life.

Recommended Posts

KS ,

My bucket list was pretty much filled up a few years ago with the exception of one thats in Bozeman , and that will be determined on price.  Then it was time to move a few on to make more room.     Maybe when the borders open. It will be on this side of the fence.     Im pretty much the same age as you.  And just having a enjoyable time with what I own.

hope everyone gets what there looking for.

I played a used  000-28EC in a store and it was the business. I have a 000-28, but the EC is some next level voodoo. I should have bought it.

Since it was first introduced, the price keeps creeping up.  I need to get one before it gets so high I can no longer afford it.

I'll be 70 next month.  What a nice birthday present to myself....

Short only because I have most of the ones I want anyway!

BC Rich Mockingbird Legacy ST love the shape and all the switches has to be in trans red.

A 50s style Gibson LP could go for a Slash one as specs similar and looks different due to no pick guard and no humbucker covers.

A 12 string acoustic no preferred brand.

I have bought nearly every guitar on my bucket list, though it has taken me quite a few years to get there.

There is just one that hangs out there though, haunting me.

Maybe a Super 400 or an original 1957 Les Paul Custom for me. I already have a 57 Custom Reissue made in 2009 which is an amazing guitar, but it would be cool to have one that was from 'The Golden Era' I guess.

I always wanted a LP Artisan or the 1976 'The Les Paul' just because they look amazing...I've never tried one.

Over the years I have built up a large collection, so I really don't need anything else. I should probably be selling a few instead.

...oh, actually, an original 1957 ES 5 Switchmaster to go with my 2010 reissue. I prefer humbuckers hence the year choice.

I got two of mine in the past twelve months: a new, USA-made Epiphone Texan and Casino. As much as I like the romanticism of getting vintage examples, I like a fresh new guitar - especially when they cost half of what a comparable vintage would cost. In between I got a vintage Epiphone Cortez, which became my favorite guitar after two months and an additional 20% of my purchase price invested in repairs.

I have a wishlist, but at this point they are often just minor changes from guitars I already own. The only real gap in my collection is a high-quality Fender, and I just haven't found one that works for me.

I already have a contender for "nicest playing SG on the planet" in my '79 SG Standard (Kalamazoo made).  In addition, I have two awesome Gibson-USA (non-CS) Les Pauls, one with P90s and one w/ humbuckers, but both with beautiful carved maple tops, body/neck binding, MoP-logo inlays, trap fret markers, and HSC's.  I also have some other pretty cool "also ran" guitars too.  For guitars, I am good.  My bucket list items can go elsewhere ...

Do it. That 000-28EC I played in a GC in North Myrtle Beach last year was used and $26 or $28 hundo and I should have gotten it. It sounded so damn good. I remember saying to myself, this is totally different than my standard one.  Someone got a great guitar. The last time I was there the acoustic room was decimated.
