New Steinberger from china with the 1 humbucker & 2 single coil pickups configuration rust on tuning machines

Has anyone purchased the Steinberger made in China with mahogany wood body and the 1 humbucker 2 single coil pickup configuration?  If you did how you like the sound and action?

What does the sound and action have to do with rust on the (turning machines) which I am assuming are thetuners?

I'm not aware of any Steinberger/Spirit made with a mahogany body.  Current specs say maple neck and basswood body. Apart from that I think current Spirits are made in Indonesia, if I recall correctly. So whatever you can buy in China and has a mahogany body sounds like a fake to me.
