surfpup Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 I generally only do finger style (no pick at all) on the acoustic. However, I use my middle and ring finger a lot to hybrid pick on the electric. I don't even realize I am doing it anymore. For some licks it just works best to use the pick and the fingers. KSG_Standard Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 I am a big fan of Toy Caldwell and I love his tone, I've tried to copy his style over the years, but after about 20 minutes of using just my thumb all the skin is gone...he must have been a tough SOB.
