FHussar Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Hello all, I have a 70's L6-S Midnight Special and I'm wondering if the headstock logo was a decal or how it was fixed to the headstock. The model I have seems to be missing the logo...think this has any effect on the guitar's value? I'll be able to add pics when I can figure out how to make the files smaller...Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Quote
jdgm Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Hello A Gibson without Gibson on the headstock will be worth considerably less than one with it on. You can buy a decal on the net: https://www.guitar-decals.com/ Pics - you only get a tiny amount of space on this forum, not enough to post pics, so.... We all upload our photos to an image-sharing site (imgur, postimage etc) - not photobucket as it is not free any more - and then copy and paste a link to the photo. When you upload a photo the sites will give you a choice of links, one of which will work....! I use postimage and usually copy then paste the 'direct' link they give. Quote
FHussar Posted September 7, 2021 Author Posted September 7, 2021 thanks ! emailed Gibson about the logo, they said is was silkscreened on, and if I sent the guitar to them, they could replace the logo...I'll have to figure out how to upload pics! Thanks again! Quote
