SteveFord
Over the Summer I watched a FedEx driver flip a large box, marked FRAGILE in giant letters, off of the back of a truck onto a neighbor's yard. The same week FedEx delivered a preamp to my neighbor's house and indicated that I actually signed for the package. Right now a parcel marked Signature Required was delivered 50 miles away and was signed by somebody else. They seem to be unable to retrieve the package as it went from scheduled for redelivery to no delivery date available. Has anyone else had their FedEx deliveries just go totally haywire on them? jedzep
Not specifically with FE, but there's a noticeable downturn in general quality conscientiousness and control, pretty much everywhere. This mutha's breaking down, so we'll have to anticipate and adjust.
Sgt. Pepper
When Let It Be was delivered Friday, on the Amazon website it said "Your package was delivered. It was handed directly to a resident." Well it wasn't, it was just left on the door step. At least there was something in the package. Edited October 18, 2021 by Sgt. Big Bill
I have nothing but problem with FedEx! Why people continue to use them is beyond me. They claim there were delivery attempts to my home and when there wasn't, they lose and damage packages. When I ship things out, I go UPS. SteveFord
A guy on another site said Sweetwater shipped a guitar FedEx Ground to him, it spent 3 days being out for delivery on the truck. The driver just kept bringing it back to the terminal! Edited October 18, 2021 by SteveFord

The package also required a signature, the driver just handed it to me with a bit of an attitude and walked off. Twang Gang
The last guitar Sweetwater sent to me was shipped out on a Friday. Tracking said it would be delivered two days later on a Sunday. I wasn't sure they made Sunday deliveries, but upon checking their website it said they delivered 7 days a week, so I was hopeful. Tracking showed it would be delivered "by end of day" on Sunday. I didn't know what time "end of day" was and upon checking their sight again it said 8:00 PM. Delivery required a signature so I stayed home all day but it never arrived. Monday was a holiday so I figured it would be delivered on Tuesday. It eventually made it on Friday, so 2 day delivery took a full 7 days. It arrived in one piece and the driver did get my signature. I politely asked him why it took that long and he said "well, there is a worldwide pandemic and the govt. is paying people to stay home so we're short handed" or something to that effect. I understand those things, and I don't mind a 7 day delivery, I just wish their tracking was accurate so you had a better idea of when the package would arrive. In the interim I had contacted FedEx customer service and traced the shipment. Turns out it was the terminal closest to Sweetwater up in Indiana that was backed up. The guitar arrived there on Friday evening and sat there for 5 days before actually being shipped to me which only took two days once it got moving. Again the delay was not a big deal for me, but the inaccurate tracking caused undue stress thinking it was lost or damaged. But in fairness to Fed Ex I have been using them since about 1978 and this is the first package that wasn't delivered as scheduled so I suppose it can be chalked up to the pandemic circumstances. Whitefang
I generally don't use either FEDEX or UPS, but have once or twice in the past. You all have given me something to consider since there's a couple of Christmas gifts I'm going to have to have delivered somehow to a family member out of state. As far as receiving deliveries, I usually don't order anything online or by catalog, so I avoid those sort of issues. Whitefang
SteveFord
Now the updated from Pending to Out For Delivery. Their tracking is terrible. Supposedly my Amperex tubes are on the truck for delivery today. Just like it was being delivered yesterday but never was marked Out For Delivery. We'll see what happens. I told the seller to file a claim.
SteveFord
It's a miracle, somebody just left the box on my back steps. I wonder if he indicated that I signed it?
