bodger
I recently purchased two Gibson acoustic guitars. One is a 1970 Hummingbird. The other is a CL20. I can't seem to find much info on the CL20, other than they weren't made for long. Is there a source where I can gather info about how many types of CL20's were made, and if they are all solid or if there are laminates in the construction, etc.? Thanks. TheLiveSoundGuy
Welcome to the forum bodger. I'll dig around on the net and see what kind of info I can find. If memory serves me, I think the CL20, 30, 40 and 50's had a rosewood back and side and were said to be a very warm (low end) sort of sound. I've only played one, and it had very dead strings so I can really speak on it.
bodger
Welcome and:1. Pictures ' date=' please 2. First songs on each new guitar you sang?[/quote'] First song on the CL20 was Neil Young's "Needle and the Damage Done" First on the Hummingbird was John Prine's "Sam Stone" As for pics...it looks like the set-up on this forum requires them to be hosted somewhere first? Then I can insert?
TheLiveSoundGuy
bodger, You are correct in the pics info. Most people use Photobucket, then insert here. Also, I dug this thread out of the archives. It may help shed some light on your CL-20. http://forums.gibson.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=8181
