erickr_sg
Hi i would like to check if the Gibson guitar SG Standard i bought is authentic. Serial #021260383 Thank you very much
merciful-evans
If only it was that easy. Not only can serial numbers can be replicated, the system(s) Gibson use are not robust. Take some photos of the guitar. Include headstock both sides, body etc. It would also be handy to take out the pickups and see what info can be gleaned from stamps & labels under there. Then (this bits important), upload them to a pic hosting site (such as imgur). From there post the pic links on here. I use the DIRECT LINK option. People here can tell you if the SG is genuine. kidblast
like ME says.. without photos of some of the various areas on the guitar there's no way any one can help. if you are able to take the pics, a close up of the bridge, whats under the truss rod cover, and w/ back cover off the electronics. and I'm not trying to be a jerk, but, while you don't have to be Ansel Adams, crappy / blurry cell phone photos that look like some one was taking pics cave drawings, are not going to help either.
