fortyearspickn Posted November 22, 2021 Share Posted November 22, 2021 First - that maple is absolutely stunning. You are one lucky guy! Second - as stated above, it's from another object. Since the red is on both the back AND the side which are different pieces of wood, and you can see in the photo spots where the stain is on the binding and not the wood adjacent. My guess - not the case, but an article of clothing that was red, and there was some chemical involved - sunblock, bug spray, perfume, deodorant. Thought I've never had a need - many here swear by Virtuoso guitar polish and have had good results, even removing surface stains. G'Luck!
