Reverb purchase: Should i make a fuss about this dent?

Hey folks!

I just purchased this Kirk Douglas signature SG on reverb.

https://imgur.com/a/kJ9FFT7

The original sales article had the following description:

"Like new, barely been played

Plastic is still on the pickguard"

Upon inspection i realized that it had a pretty noticable dent on the 14th fret. Is this something i should be concerned about / make a fuss out of? My concern is that it will affect its resale value.

As i only own guitars with maple fretboards, i'm also a bit in doubt whether the "chip" on that last photo (taken of the first fret) is natural rosewood grain or infact a chip. Any thoughts?

And the plastic wasn't on the pickguard ;-)...

Best regards,

Jesper

hmm, yea it's not pretty, but it won't affect the playability   looks like it was done when the frets were filed ?  or maybe binding scraping?

hard to say for sure.

if bought it second hand and so far I assume, so you have little recourse unless the deal is undone with "not as advertised"

looks like a nice SG all the same, despite a wart on the neck

Did you pay with Pay Pal?

If that damage wasn’t disclosed on Reverbs website by the Seller, & you feel you’ve been wronged, you have just cause to return to Seller for a full refund.. Damage Nondisclsure Return claims   with Reverb.com are usually on the side of the Buyer.. Although, you may have to pay for Shipping.
