badbluesplayer
Nut work day - Fill and recut 3 strings - Wanna see a bad nut? Here's my previous work - Slots cleaned out and enlarged slightly - Filler dust from old saddle - Slots filled - Add a drop or two of superglue to each notch - Check, 1,2,3 - I'll let the glue cure 'till tomorrow and then I'll recut the slots...

No, seriously, I've only played a 12-string once. The acoustic ones are cool.

It takes an hour and a half to change strings, 45 mins to tune it, then you play it for 5 mins and your fingers hurt and you put it back in the case. 1

I have a MIC Guild I paid about $1k for about 2 years ago. Took some time to get the setup right but it's the best playing 12 string I've ever owned. (I've had a few include a realy nice ovation legend shallow bowl) Tuning not really a problem either. String changes are a bit of PITA, most of the time I have coated strings on it which greatly reduces the re-stringing cycle.
merciful-evans
Nice nut work BBP (I nearly said nut job). 12 strings? I used to want one when I was in my teens. I also used to want a bigsby equiped SG.
