Headstock Stain
I have a 1986 Gibson Invader with headstock discoloration from the clip of an electronic tuner. I used a Gibson cleaner, but it has not been helpful. Any ideas on how to remove the discoloration?
Sgt. Pepper
Just say thank you nitro, its burned in for good. Unless refinished I don't think its gonna come out. I was hoping this thread was about Zappa. Edited February 8, 2022 by Sgt. Pepper
Realmongo
Yeah, I agree, that's probably permanent, the nitro reacted with plastic.
NighthawkChris
Did you mix up your name and the title of this thread? @Headstock Stain is a strange name to have…

Wish I'd thought of it. So Frank goes all the way through the nitro right?
kidblast
Sadly, I also think that there's no coming back on that one welcome Frank!
Eracer_Team
Guess this is a " Frank" discussion of why someone shouldn't leave a tuner clipped as it will create a "headstock stain" Tune it, take it off Edited February 10, 2022 by Eracer_Team
