Savino
Hi, in 1980 I bought a used Gibson es-335TD and in the headstock it says Dixie Deluxe, see attached pictures. What model is it? I can't find it on the internet. Thank you
merciful-evans
Hi, I cant find info on Dixie Deluxe either. It seems that ES-335 have changed since the 80s. I'm no expert, but it didn't look quite right. However, it seems that 1980 335s do indeed look like yours.
Sgt. Pepper
You can see where to original tuners were swapped out. Take the truss rod cover off and see if it has a nut or allen screw to adjust it. If and allen its not real. Its hard to see the pots on a 335 and need a mirror to see if Gibson is stamped on the pots. The serial stamp looks right. You said you bought it in 1980, so it is a Norlin era model. rct
All of my Gibsons had RCT on the truss rod covers. rct

jdgm
Obviously a custom trc made for the owner. Hmm...factory? I doubt it with that font. The band or act might have been Dixie Deluxe, or perhaps he just liked that name. Looks fine otherwise; the headstock logo is period-correct for late 70s and the burst has faded nicely IMO. Wmachine
As always, contact Gibson and see what they can tell you. I agree that the the TRC does not look like Gibson issue. What does the sticker inside look like? Please let us know what Gibson says.
