Gibson es-335TD Dixie Deluxe

You can see where to original tuners were swapped out. Take the truss rod cover off and see if it has a nut or allen screw to adjust it. If and allen its not real. Its hard to see the pots on a 335 and need a mirror to see if Gibson is stamped on the pots. The serial stamp looks right.

You said you bought it in 1980, so it is a Norlin era model.

Obviously a custom trc made for the owner.   Hmm...factory?  I doubt it with that font.

The band or act might have been Dixie Deluxe, or perhaps he just liked that name.

Looks fine otherwise; the headstock logo is period-correct for late 70s and the burst has faded nicely IMO.
