Jerry Cantrell Fire Devil - Defect

Hello Group members,

I just recently purchase a new Gibson Jerry Cantrell Songwriter and it has multiple defects. I thought that Gibson fixed the quality issue with their guitars. This guitar was made in Gibson Montana which is known for high-quality craftsmanship.

Looks like you've been over this with a fine toothed comb. Obviously you are unhappy. 

Of the macro shots you have marked red, 50% of the features, I don't see a defect. Of the others, the marks don't appear to be of much consequence. However its not me that matters. Its your guitar and you deserve to be satisfied.

This forum is for users. You should raise these concerns with Gibson or the shop you bought it from. If I were Gibson or your retailer I would be concerned that a replacement might not satisfy you either.

BTW This USA section is about Nashville guitars (solid bodies). The acoustic section would probably be a better option for you.

OMG! Is this post a joke!?! If you are that knit picky, you shouldn't even bother buying a guitar. You were obviously looking for flaws and found the slightest ones! Good god!!!

Thank you for your input! I am not knit picking, I am just inspecting my guitar. Do you inspect your guitar when you first get it? Gibson is known  for some quality issues so I have to make sure my guitar has no defects. I purchase Gibson guitars before and I never had frets being poorly cut like this.

Return it, and damn its like King Henry is back. Seems like we are getting a signature model every week now. What we don't have is enough Slash models.
