because everyone loves it!

and i never could get to like the plain wood finish, on any guitar

like the new raw power les paul and sg, in that crappy light wood color makes me sick

Wow, nice, I would not mind plugging my Explorer to a Marshall head one day. I bet it rattles bones...

 

Here is my Explorer, a 2008 in natural. I added pickup covers and replaced the speed knobs to go for a retro look. I was never into this color scheme, I love it now. I also changed the wiring to 2 tones and 1 volume 500k superpot just my personal preference. The caps are 0.022 oil encased in aluminum from Mojo.

 

I need better pics but here are a couple...
