As for getting involved and taking action in the real world, how's this?

 

I'm selling new guns as fast as I can to honor the 2nd Amendment.

I'm actively involved with the Sheriff's Department here and Joe Arpaio.

 

I'm involved with City Council meetings, and office-holders in MY town know who I am.

 

I've given Phoenix School administrators hell, even though my wife works there.

 

I GO to the protests the "pro-immigration" fxckers put on and I piss in their ears the whole time. The cops laugh....

 

I've personally called the cops on trespassing illegals at least a dozen times when they disrupt traffic or harass people while 'looking for work' or some other baloney.

 

I've called the phone numbers on the side of EVERY pickup or van that allowed illegals to climb aboard at a street corner.

Amazing how their offices will deny they use such labor when I'm following their truck while talking to them.

A couple even told me "We're a union shop, we don't USE illegals!!!"

 

I'm a politician's worst nightmare - or a crooked cop.

I've gotten a couple of each removed from their jobs.

I was a Dem and Lib all my life, without really thinking about it, probably because my parents were, agreeing with all my liberal friends, making fun of and having contempt for Repubs. I never paid ANY attention to current events or politics.

 

When 9/11 happened, I started paying attention. After a year, I started noticing how incredibly slimy that the Democratic, Liberal politicians and vocalizers were, in how they treated my President (whether Dem or Rep I don't care- Bush was MY president) and in how they would say and do almost the most dishonest, low-class, creepy things to further nothing more than their own agenda. I realized soon that I could never consider myself a Dem again. I couldn't be a Rep either tho, because they were only better than Dems by degree. So I became an Indie.

 

Now that Obama is in, I see that the Reps have too little respect for the Office of Pres too, though they are much less slimy than the Libs.

 

If it were possible to throw out basically every member of Congress, I would, and disband both parties and start over.

 

Ridiculous. No offense, but I think that anyone who is so partisan that they'll adhere to a right or left agenda simply because it IS a right or left agenda is pitifully ignorant and probably should have to pass some kind of test before they are allowed to vote after we pass an amendment to that effect.

Hoyt...I think it is best not to respond. These posts are designed to incite people. Silence is sometimes the best tactic to shut people up. A lot of these posts have nothing to do with politics. They just have a need to always be on center stage and to show people how tough they are.

Funny thing. All the Republican propaganda out there is so easy to see through. I'm an independent and have voted for people from both major parties and some "third" party candidates. But all the Rush Limbaugh "dittohead" talk just makes me want to vote anything but Republican.

If you want me to vote Republican, do so by telling me what the Conservatives are going to do for me, not by the extreme bashing of the other party.

If you want to debate, you might start by admitting that both parties have severe

problems.

 

In general, the Liberal stance is intelligent and progressive -we need progress.

At the same time, the Liberal thought doesn't know how far is too far, and they

are more dishonest (not EVERYONE, mind you-silly boy), in what they do to get their

own agenda passed.

 

In general, the Conservative thought is wise and traditional -we also need tradition.

At the same time, the Conservative thought is just too dang greedy (not EVERYONE,

mind you silly boy).

 

Both parties, if followed far enough, have egregious faults.

 

If you are the kind of person who sees name calling every time someone criticizes your side,

it's probably not name calling you object to, it's being challenged that you really don't like.
