Pellet Smokers...

Picked up this bad boy last month. Traeger Ironwood 650. The picture was too large to load.

Traeger Ironwood Grills | Traeger Grills

Have only used it three times.

1; 2 whole chickens. Fantastic

2; 3 racks of baby back ribs. Outstanding 6 hour smoke.

3; Chicken leg quarters. Yum

Next up. Brisket, this looks to be 8/10/12 hour deal. This machine has an auger that will self feed, keeping the temperature while you sleep, if you want. Think I'll just start early in the morning and stay with it.

Diggin' it.

Given what's happening to the price of beef -  I may be smoking lentil beans this summer.    Except on Fourth or July.  We have 3 dogs and one is really old.

That's the beauty of low, slow smoking.

You can make even an old, tough dog tender and tasty.

Even a cheap cut like brisket.

Oh, I get it..

The image for the "this is your brain on pellets" PSA.   [wink]

No worries.  I haven't smoked  ANYTHING for many years.   So, what buzz do you get from pellets?

As good as------?
