jdgm
This happened in 1991 and I've always remembered it from the pictures and the news report at the time. Summary: Guitarist/entertainer and his wife are on a cruise liner which starts sinking. They discover nearly all the crew are abandoning ship and leaving the passengers to die. This guy saved hundreds of people. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-60841291 Edited April 6, 2022 by jdgm 1

"which do I save, the passengers or my Les Paul... hmmm...."
Twang Gang
Amazing story. Never heard of a captain and crew reacting that way in an emergency.
Whitefang
Obviously, they never heard of that "women and children first" thing. Or going down with the ship. Whitefang
