Californiaman
Thinking about a Les Paul Special Double Cut from the Custom Shop. Anybody have any knowledge about such things? I would appreciate it. Sonically speaking, I haven't had a chance to plug one in but there's two I can get my hands on to try out. The 2018 is 7.1 pounds, while the 2011 is 6.6 pounds 2018 in Oxblood 2011 in faded tv yellow Edited April 13, 2022 by Californiaman Words
Murph
I have a '61 Melody Maker. Never play it. https://imgur.com/w1jiDkk Edited April 13, 2022 by Murph
Karloff
I had the 2nd one (TV White) for 2 or 3 years. nicest playing neck ever. really regret selling it. only sold it because the P-90's were such a different animal from my other humbucker guitars. made it difficult to quickly go from one to the other. the intonation was perfect too, with the wrap bridge. wish I still had it. merciful-evans
In your position I would play them both and be guided by the tone and feel (but quietly hope it would be the 2011 one).
Californiaman
Yeah that 2011 is a looker. At six pounds and six ounces, that's pretty light. I think I might be able to play it Saturday. I'll let you know what I think soon enough, but it might not happen till Monday.
