inverminx
Went shopping for Les Paul modern yesterday on Israeli official (and only one) authorized Gibson retailer. Closed a deal on Les Paul modern on a new box. After I paid for the guitar, the seller brought that from the stock room, and opened it in front of me. When I opened the box, not only that I saw white powder stains on the neck on frets 1 and 2 (pic is after seller cleaned it, but it still shows) and some other stains that looked like glue, I also noticed that the guitar had a truss rod cover for Traditional Pro V. Store seller was surprised, he mentioned maybe the "new guitars" come like this. .. I had a chance to see the certificate, it was manufactured on 2019, so not really new, and anyway, what's the deal with Trad Pro V on Les Paul Modern? could that be a manufacture mistake? or some sort of "class B" guitar with some defects? Anyway , I asked to change color to the faded pelham blue and that one had a regular truss rod and looked great, so I took that instead.
