Sgt. Pepper
That dude is such a hack bassist he has problems riding the open E string, 8 to the bar. Edited April 20, 2022 by Sgt. Pepper
sparquelito
I just compared my bank balance to Gene's. His is larger, by some margin. The man is doing something right. 🤫

What was Gene's best bass part that lick in Detroit Rock City. Edited April 20, 2022 by Sgt. Pepper

I was a big KISS fan from the early days. My (teenage garage band) bandmates and I saw KISS live in December of 1975, and it was a formative experience. My current band enjoys performing a number of KISS songs, usually one or two per gig. There's some history there. Admittedly, Gene can be a major-league ******-bag. And though I never watched his 'reality TV' show (I don't watch television), I have heard about it enough, and watched small snippets of it on youTube. It was cringe-worthy rubbish. All that said, I enjoy his interviews, the ones I can find online. He's articulate. He's opinionated, but I agree with most of his opinions. To the bank account matter, he has, by all accounts, been one of the most successful marketers of a brand, any brand, in history. He's gone from a dirt-poor Israeli immigrant to a multi-millionaire rock legend. Love him or hate him, he's very much a self-made, successful, iconic figure. And he loved and respected his mother. Okay, I'm gonna shut up now. 😔

Maybe I was too hasty, but to this day I couldn't name one song. That's what? 50 years of ignoring a major band. There are plenty of others too.

Oh, you're not alone in that, old friend. I have many favorites, and then there are those who were MAJOR music artists, and I never hardly ever paid attention. Certainly didn't buy any of their records. In my case:Never bought any records, can't name a single hit song The Grateful Dead Rage Against The Machine The Tragically Hip The StoogesAware of them, know some songs, but never sparked my interest The Doors Janis Joplin Jimi Hendrix The Who Iron Maiden The Band Molly Hatchet R.E.M. I'm gonna shut up now. 🤫
Nifty
Not really a fan. I listened to KISS though, started with 8 tracks then albums. But after Ace left was done. It's really interesting, Gene had this vault thing. And you could pay some stupid amount of money and he would come hang out, play some stuff. Then you get some container to keep with some items he put together. Its really genius cause there were enough people who signed up for this. After watching a few YouTube videos though, I question the sanity of some LOL. To each his/her own. So, I expect there are enough out there who will pay whatever for this guitar. https://youtu.be/zbSLs1-IPYs
