Gibson Ripper Flight case…

Hi there, Gibson lovers

just got my hand on a 76 black Gibson Ripper.

Just love it, issue is, I don’t have the original case and I’m looking for alternatives to all the « eaten by rats » crappy and over priced cases you can find here and there.

An urban legend tells that the Epi J Casady case is an option.

True or false? Never been able to find a concrete answer…

any other thoughts?

thanks in advance on your help

A Gig Bag is an option. I hate them. Not sure about this urban legend Epi case. Look on the net to see if you can find an aftermarket one that fits. Make sure you get one with a return policy just in case.

Years ago I bought a NOS case for a great price at a small music store. Ended up being a Ripper/Grabber case. Nothing I had fit in it, including a Les Paul Signature Bass. I ended up giving it away. A Ripper would likely fit in a Jack Casady case, but it might flop around. A Gibson 335 Bass (EB-2) would be the same size. Might have good luck with an aftermarket rectangular case.
