Went to Owensboro Ky. yesterday and walked through the place. Pretty darned nice, I must say. Everybody had some mention, it seems, even the youngsters Tuttle/Strings/Jarosz.  New standards Punch Bros/Thile and Co', even Jerry Garcia, Grisman, and the stewards Rice, Bush, Ricky, The Stoneman Family and on and on.

There's a picking room with Martin guitars on the wall, banjos, upright bass, resonators and stuff, just grab them and play. Had tuners and picks laying around. That was very cool, a young girl was playing and singing when we left.

The coolest thing though was Uncle Pen's fiddle and I forgot to take a picture of it. And a Pete Seeger banjo. Those pictures are already on the internet anyhow.

R.O.M.P. looks to be good this summer with Punch Bros and even Tommy Emmanuel coming, and they moved it to handle a larger crowd.

It was very cool, I'm glad we made the day trip.
