Weizen
Hello, I found this Gibson LP Standard 1993 for sell. It has a birdseye on the top. I can't find much more information. Serial number is: 931 233 73. Can You tell me more about this model? Thanks for help!
Sgt. Pepper
It was stamped in early November 1993. It’s a tabbacoburst I believe. Not sure what pups are in it. Should be hog body with a maple cap and a hog neck with a rosewood board. Looks like Grover tuners. Looks like someone top wrapped the strings. Edited May 23, 2022 by Sgt. kidblast
if it's a 93 standard, a safe bet 490R/498T pickups are in there. This is the stock pickup config, for my '92 standard It's possible someone swapped out the machine heads, in most cases, those should have had the "green tulip" deluxe klusons. Yup they’re green alright 😄 94 Standard. Bought it used a few years ago. Good guitar… Still have it and playing good. Also has that weird headstock checking thing going on too. Hasn’t gotten worse though. Sort of adds character

I found this poster on ebay. a bit of intrigue enters now, in that head stock photo you added I don't see the holes where the Klusons would have originally been mounted. Unless they were professional installed and the holes filled. As we can see, Grovers attach w/one screw pn the bottom edge, while Kluson deluxe have two mount screws on either side of the machine head housing. Therefore, I assumed a topic here. There is one more photo of headstock. Is it possible that this is a some special version of the standard ? Rabs
Your guitar may have Brazilian Rosewood which is something that some people do hunt for as they havent used it since about 1995.
