2017 SG Custom Body

Recommended Posts

So I recently picked up the 2017 limited SG Custom and I was considering putting on a tortoise shell guard on it, similar to a Lucille aesthetic.

Im wondering if anyone would know what style pickguard was used for this model. It looks and feels similar to a 61' but I don't actually own one to compare.

Thanks for the consideration.16535056966084310232044842562527.thumb.jpg.8779a374e45865a3634a69b914995599.jpg

Sarge, actually the bat wing one is the larger one that covers both sides of the strings.

The smaller one like in the photo is usually just referred to as a '61 style

LBUCK, the link in Sarge's post and the one below is what you're looking for:

[thumbup]

I have two SGs with the larger pickguards,

I'd rather they were set with the '61 style personally.   Way too much plastic on those IMHO.  But I dig SGs so,,

Yeah but unlike on an acoustic the pickguard on an electric doesn't rob your tone.
