suburude63
A great site online check it out! subu My 1930s Kalamazoo KG-14 made by Gibson in Kalamazoo Michigan http://www.littlebrotherblues.com/Gear/KG-14/index.html
TommyK
As I understand it the Kalamazoo make was a cheap, entry level model made during hard times when most folk couldn't begin to afford a more expensive guit tar.
Jinder
Sub, is that your site? If so, you mention selling a KG14 to Bill Sheffield, the Atlanta bluesman...I've gigged with Bill, on his 2007 UK tour-lovely guy, I played his KG14 and loved it. He tunes it down a semitone, and capos it at the first fret to go a little easier on the guitar...this makes it super playable and very warm sounding. I want a Kzoo, but they are pretty expensive over here.
sumner77
Great site Subu. Thanks. My '38 KG-14 was rebraced from original ladder braces to X bracing by David Sheppard, so it is essentially a '38 L-00. Except it sounds better than any '30s L-00 I've ever played, at about half the cost. These are great little guitars, whatever the bracing.
