sarge
I just recently purchased a Gibson Les Paul Double Cut Studio. It has on it the non adjustable wrap around bridge. The thing I have always been fond about Les Pauls is how easy they are to intonate. We that isn't the case with this one. So I started looking for intonatable (is that a word?) wrap around replacement bridges. I have found what I think should be a replacement that I think I should just be able to unscrew the existing bridge and screw this one right in. I just wanted to confirm it. Am I looking at the right thing? It is a TonePros Wraparound Bridge/Tailpiece, AVT2G http://www.specialtyguitars.com/p/03-01030.html It is a bit expensive though. Does anyone know of a Les expensive one?
pohatu771
I can't guarantee a fit, but here are some other alternatives: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Electric_guitar,_non-trem_bridges/Pigtail_Aluminum_Wraparound_Bridge.html Hipshot Schaller Adjustable
sarge
Thanks, All my searching only yeilded the link I posted. I wonder what type of effect on tone you get with the cheaper ones. I'm scared to only spend 34 dollars. But then again if it sucks, it's only 34 dollars. I could go out and get the more expensive one.
met1977
I had a tone pros bridge and tailpiece on a esp ec-1000 and it was dead on, on intonation also with the locking studs it helped with sustain. But it was a two piece and not the wrap around. I do plan on putting this system on my les paul when I have the cash. I hope this helped....... sarge
Yeah, I have been googling this all night and it seems tonepros is getting the biggest props in this regard.
tulsaslim
There are several 'adjustable' wraparound bridges available out there. Badass comes to mind. Look around, you'll find one.
